PRIVACY
A clear privacy promise.
Effective: September 1, 2026
Lungie is built to help you leave smoking or vaping behind without asking you to hand over your story. This page explains, in plain language, what the app and this website do with information.
What this policy covers.
This policy applies to the Lungie iOS app and the Lungie website. Throughout this policy, “Lungie” means the publisher of those services. The app is local-first: you can use it without creating an account or sending your journey to a Lungie server.
Your journey stays on your iPhone.
The app may store your quit journey and attempts, smoking or vaping entries, craving sessions, optional triggers and intensity ratings, saved preferences, consumption and price settings, achievements, notification choices, and the limited progress needed for the widget. Some of these entries may be sensitive or health-related. They are stored locally on your device and are not sent to a Lungie server.
No account, advertising or tracking.
Lungie does not ask for your name, email address or an account to use the app. The app does not include advertising, third-party analytics, advertising identifiers or behavioural tracking. This website has no cookies, analytics scripts or advertising pixels. If you choose to contact support, we receive only the reply email address and message you submit so we can respond.
Notifications and widgets.
If you choose to enable notifications, iOS schedules them locally on your device. If you add the widget, Lungie shares only the limited progress snapshot needed to display it through a shared Apple App Group container on that device. Lungie does not receive notification or widget data. Apple may process information needed to provide iOS system features under Apple’s Privacy Policy.
The website and technical logs.
This website is hosted on Vercel. When you visit it, Vercel may receive standard technical information such as your IP address, browser, device and request time to deliver and protect the site. We do not use that information to build a profile or show advertising. If you submit the support form, the message is delivered by Resend only to answer your request; it is not used for marketing. Infrastructure logs are handled and retained by the provider under its Privacy Notice.
Deletion and retention.
Because app data is local, Lungie does not retain a remote copy of your journey. You can delete all Lungie data in Settings > Delete all local data; this also clears the widget snapshot and scheduled Lungie notifications. Deleting the app removes its local data according to Apple’s standard device behaviour.
The App Store and service providers.
If you download Lungie through the App Store, Apple handles the information needed to operate the store, distribute the app and process any purchase. Those activities are governed by Apple’s own policies. Lungie does not receive your App Store account or payment details through the app.
Your choices and rights.
You decide whether to allow notifications, add a widget or record optional craving details. You can review, change or delete app information directly on your iPhone. If you contact the publisher, you may also request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability where those rights apply to the information involved. Use the Lungie support page to get in touch.
Changes and questions.
If Lungie’s data practices change, this page will be updated before the change is introduced and the effective date above will be revised. For questions about this policy, please use the Lungie support page.
